What is the QJTT Tech Apprentice Program?
Theater is so much more than acting. The technical aspects (lighting, sound etc.,) help make each performance go from good to great. QJTT is proud to announce an apprenticeship program for anyone (boys and girls) age 12 and older who is interested in learning more about the technical aspects of the theater. Apprentices will be involved with all areas of lighting (designing a light plot, working with various lighting instruments and lighting effects, learning how to work the computerized lighting system, and more), sound (understanding the principles of wireless microphones, correct use and placement of wireless microphones and 'choir' microphones, the operation of the 24-channel mixing console, and more), and other areas of theater where technical requirements are needed (backstage work, stage managing etc.). If interested please contact Russell Weisenbacher and Justin Keenan Miller, c/o QJTT, P.O. Box 427, Quogue, NY 11959 for information and an application.
